Hi! My name is Andrew Marks and I’m a WordPress Nerd. I’ve been using WordPress since 2007, when I began using it instead of my own rudimentary content manage system, which shall remain nameless… Since then, I’ve built hundreds of WordPress websites, for all manner of customers, in all manner of niches. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of websites I’ve built since 2007 where I didn’t use WordPress, and looking back knowing what I know now, I probably could have.
I run a managed WordPress hosting company, WP Secured, and help the team at WP Butler solve troublesome WordPress problems. I regularly speak at the Brisbane Northside WordPress Meetup, I code themes and plugins for fun, and in my downtime – you guessed it – I build WordPress websites. You could say I’m somewhat obsessed.
Over the years, I’ll bumped into – and solved – countless WordPress issues. That’s not to say there is anything wrong with WordPress; quite the contrary. But issues do arise when you have out-of-date or abandoned plugins, or when there are major core updates, or when a web host insists on offering a 10 year old PHP install… I’ve seen it all, and in this blog, I’m going to share my experiences. Hopefully, you find the solution to your problem while you’re here. Otherwise, send me the details and I’d be happy to take a look at it for you.
